The Town of Barnstable MA started publishing the vital records in 1886 and stopped in 1989.

Correction of typos has been limited to obvious corrections or where the correct data is personally known to be true. Where the spelling of names may have been modified by the town clerh's phonetic spelling changes have not been made.

The data reported has been changed over the years and to keep it all and be consistent there are quite a few blank records. The only actual change made in the data has been to show ages of less than a day as <1 rather than some more precise data. In any case the original text is available if anyone wants to be picky. People from out of town brought here for buriel are listed in proper chronological position. You will have to look at original scans to tell if the were brought here or were from out of town and died here.
