Comments  Mentioned by John Daggett in his History of Attleborough 1894 as the cemetery of the Catholic church St. Mary's. The church was organized ca. 1850, land was purchased 1850, but it was not for many years that a cemetery was begun. Previous Catholic burials were said to have been in neighboring Pawtucket. Form E prepared by AHC at Mass. State Archives, Boston from Feb. 1979, mentioned map found when the old St. Mary&s rectory was being dismantled. Caretaker (then Manny Pestana Jr.) said to have map, presumably a newer one. Susan Salisbury (SS) recorded 281 stones in 1995.
