   BOLTON.—John Bolton (said to have come from Stonington, Conn.) and his w. Sarah settled early in B.; was probably a descendant from Nicholas Bolton of Dorchester, a mem. of the Ch. there 1644; he had John a. 1686, Samuel 1688, Sarah 1690, Elizabeth 1692, Nicholas 1695, Mary 1697, Elisha 1700, Joseph 1704, Nathaniel 1706, Abigail 1709.—Samuel m. Rebecca Simnons 1742.—Sarah m. Wm. Leonard.—Elizabeth m. Michael May.—Mary d. single 1730.—Elisha d. 1777, æ. 77; his w. Mary; they had Seth 1739, Jabez, Elisha, and Meshech.   Seth m. Anne Wade 1761.—Joseph m. Deliverance Washburn 1740, and had Joseph and Philip.—Nathaniel m. Deborah, wid. of John Ripley and D. of Israel Washburn, 1740; she d. 1759, he 1770; he had a s. Nathaniel, perhaps, who m. Jane, D. of Thomas Thompson, 1777.—Abigail m. Samuel Ripley 1736.
