   23.   Ephraim (s. of Ephraim 15) m. Jane, D. of Capt. John Holman, 1771, and had Jane 1773, Salome 1774, Cyrus 1777, William Holman 1779, Ephraim 1782, Shepard 1784, Susanna 1787, Francis 1789, Jason 1791*, Asenath 1793, Harmony 1796.—Jane m. Zenas Keith 1792.—Salome m. Rodolphus Kinsley 1794.—Cyrus m. Nabby, D. of James Keith 1802, and he and Wm. Holman both went westward.—Ephraim m. Anna, D. of Jacob Hill, 1809, and had Lucius 1810, Horace 1811, Anne 1815, and Jane Holman; and then he, with his father and Aseneth, went to Minot.   Shepard lived and died at Dorchester.   Ephraim, the father, d. at Minot 1828, æ. 80; she before at E. B. 1809, æ. 57.—Susanna m. John Eaton of Dorchester 1812.—Francis m. Harriet, D. of Thomas Hayward, 1816, and lives on the old family estate in E. B. and has a family.—Harmony m. James W. Watson 1821; he d. 1833, and she m. again at T.

   24.   Howard, Esq. (s. of Col. Simeon 17) m. Huldah, D. of Simeon Packard 1785, and had Simeon, Daniel Howard, Senas, William, Eldridge, Francis, Molly, Rhoda; his wife d. and he m. Wid. Hannah Brown 1810.—Simeon m. Roana, D. of Jonas Howard, 1806, and went to Me.—Daniel m. Martha, D. of Gideon Howard, Esq., 1812.—Zenas went to Winthrop, Me.—Molly m. Ezra Dunham 1809.—Rhoda m. Maj. Nathan Hayward, 1818.

   25.   Moses (s. of Jonathan 19) m. Susanna, D. of Jabez Field, 1773; he d. 1838, æ. 89; and had Lucius 1776, Barzillai 1780, Susanna 1783, Polly 1785, Cassandana 1788.—Lucius gra. B. U. 1798, was an attorney, and d. at Charleston, S. C., 1806, æ. 30.—Barzillai m. Vashty, D. of Nathan Snell, and had Susanna 1809, Betsy 1810, Almira 1812, Barzillai 1815.—Susanna m. m. [sic] Rev. John Shaw 1807.

   26.   Jonathan (s. of Jonathan 19) m. Abigail, D. of Jonathan Perkins, 1784, and had Caleb, Jonathan, Luther, Martin, Huldah, Abigail, Sally, Mary.   He m. Wid. Tiley Clark of Winslow, a 2d w., 1808.   Caleb, Jonathan, and Luther went to Me.—Martin m. Bethiah, D. of Ichabod Howard.—Huldah m. Darius Howard 1808.—Abigail m. Isaac Dunham 1811.—Sally m.
