CHAMBERLIN.Freedom Chamberlin of Pembroke (s. of William of Hull, who was s. of Henry, who was s. of Henry, who was s. of Henry, who with his wife, mother and 2 children, came from Hingham, Eng., and settled in Hingham here 1638) had several sons, viz.: Capt. Freedom, who d. in Pembroke 1821, æ. 91; and Nathaniel, Job, Benjamin and John, who all settled in E. B.John and his family soon moved away.John Chamberlin of Westmoreland m. Eunice, D. of Samuel Edson, 1766.
2. Nathaniel (above) m. Sarah Foster and had Nathaniel 1745, Sarah 1747, Ruth 1751, Mary 1754, Lydia 1756, Joseph and Benjamin 1761, Josiah 1764; his w. d. 1765, and he m. Deliverance, D. of Thomas Snell, 1767.Nathaniel, the father, d. 1814, æ. 91: his last w., Deliverance, d. 1814, æ. 86.Nathl., the son, m. Eleanor, D. of Zechariah Whitman, and had a son Nathaniel, and moved away.Benjamin went into Maine.Josiah m. Lucy Pratt, and afterwards had a 2d wife and lived in Pembroke.Ruth m.
