LENDALL.James Lendall (of Duxbury) was an original proprietor of Bridgewater; his will 1652 at Dux. his w. Mary; both d. about 1652; he had Timothy and Abigail; he gave his share in B. to Timothy; Constant Southworth appointed to administer and take care of the chidren. He never came to B.

LEONARD.1. Solomon Leonard (from Duxbury) an original proprietor, and one of the earliest settlers in Bridgewater.The name was sometimes written LEONARDSON, LENNERSON, or LENNER, but by the family themselves always written LEONARD. He d. 1686; his widow Mary; his children were Samnel [sic, Samuel], John, Jacob, Isaac, Solomon, and Mary, who m. John Pollard of T. 1673.
2. Philip Leonard's estate was settled at Duxbury 1708 by his son-in-law Samuel Hill, who m. Phebe 1694; this man might have been brother or son of Solomon.
3. Samuel (s. of Solomon 1) settled his father's estate 1686, the first settlement recorded in Plymouth Probate Court.Sam'l perhaps went to Worcester.
Samuel Leonardson, a boy taken by the Indians at Worcester, Mar. 15, 1697, was allowed £12 10s. for escaping from them, and slaying several of them, about 1700.(Mass. Records).
