M. a Thayer; had one s. Joshua, who m. a Ford; Joshua had two ss. David, and James; and two ds. Betsey, and Hannah.   Betsey m. Zephaniah French; Hannah m. a Talbot; David m. a Packard; is a Captain in the Grenadier Company.   James lives in West Bridgewater.

   Samuel Brett, and Simeon Brett, were sons of Seth Brett, who was a descendant of William Brett, one of the Proprietors, and one of the first settlers in Bridgewater.   He was a ruling Elder in the church.

M. a Packard; had three ss. Isaac, Samuel, and William; and five ds. Hannah, Sarah, Mehitable, Molly, and Eunice.   Hannah m. Mark Ford; Sarah m. Benjamin Ford; Molly, and Eunice, died single.   Samuel Brett died 1807, aged 92.

   1.   Isaac m. a Jackson; has four ss. Isaac, Joseph, Eliphalet, and Zibeon; and one d. Polly, who m. Capt. Ichabod Reynolds.   Isaac jun. lives in the state of Maine; Joseph m. a Beals; Zibeon m. a Snell.

   2.   Samuel 2d. m. a Packard; was a Lieut, in the militia; has two ss. Josiah, and Samuel; and three ds. Mehitable, Hannah, and Sally.   Mehitable m. Alpheus French; Josiah m. a Packard.

   3.   William m. an Allen; had three ss. Zenas, William, and Cyrus; and three ds. Susanna, Sally, and Phebe.   He m. a Phillips, for his second wife; has one s. Asa; and three ds. Polly, Betsey, and Almira.   Phebe m. Jabez Kingman; Zenas m  a French; William, and Cyrus, live in Boston.

M. a Packard; had six ss. Rufus, Simeon, Amzi, Daniel, Luther, and Calvin; and four ds. Jennet, Zibia, Mehitable, and Ruby.   Jennet m. Nathaniel Southworth, for her 1st, and Ephraim Groves, for her 2d Husband; Zibia m. John Noyes; Mehitabie m. Major Daniel Cary; Ruby m. Ephraim Field.

   Simeon Brett died 1792, aged 72.
