Was son of Ephraim, son of Francis, son of John Cary, aforementioned.   He m. a Bass; lived where John Wales now lives; had three ss. Ezra, Daniel, and Luther; and two ds. Mehitable, and Susanna.   Mehitable married Zachariah Silvester; Susanna m. Rufus Brett.

   Zachariah Cary died 1788, aged 76.

   1.   Ezra m. a Tolman; lives in Turner, Maine.

   2.   Daniel m. a Brett; lived awhile on his father's place; was a Major in the militia, and was one of the Selectmen, a number of years.   He had one s. Francis; and four ds. Zibia, Eunice, Olive and Arse.   Zibia m. Capt. Roger Sumner.

   Major Daniel Cary, removed to Turner, Maine, and died there, 1819, aged 62.

   3.   Luther m. a King; settled in Turner, Maine; is a physician, and was a justice of the sessions.

Was son of Samuel Cheesman of Braintree.   He came to live in Bridgewater 1772.   M. a French; had two ss. Noah, and Samuel; and four ds. Olive, Naomi, Polly, and Betsey.   Olive m. James Thomson; Naomi m. Josiah Orcutt; Polly m. Ara Battles; Betsey m. Barzillai King.

   1.   Noah m. a Howard; was a Captain in the troop; has two ss. Zachariah and Noah; and two ds. Olive, and Lucinda.   Samuel 2d m. a Leach; lives at Merrimac.

Came from Plympton; had four ss. Samuel, Ephraim, Joseph, and Eleazer; and five ds. Molly, Susanna, Katharine, Eliza, and Sarah.   Molly m. Col. Frederic Pope; Susanna m. a Niles; Katharine m. a Littlefield; Eliza m. a Smith; Sarah m. a Withington; Samuel m. a Packard; Joseph m. a Southworth—they both went to the westward; Eleazar married a Shurtleff—lives in the State of Maine; Ephraim m.
