Hezekiah Packard; Azel m. a Knapp; Alpheus lives in Boston; Ozen m. a Howardlives in Paris, Maine; Zachariah 4th lives at Mobile; Charles m. a Crocker.
Lieutenant Zachariah Gurney died 1813, aged 84.
David m. an Ames; lives in Bath, Maine.
2. Elisha m. a Kingman; was a Lieutenant in the old French war. He moved to the state of Maine.
3. Micah m. a Jackson; lived in the state of Maine.
JOSIAH HAYDEN,
Was son of Benjamin Hayden, of Braintree. He came to live in Bridgewater, while young; m. a Howard; was a Major in the Revolutionary war, and a Colonel in the militia; was one of the Selectmen a number of years. He had three ss. Charles, Josiah, and Daniel; and five ds. Tiley, Mehitable, Damaris, Elizabeth, and Mary. Tiley m. a Clark, and afterward, Jonathan Cary.
Colonel Hayden moved to Winslow, Maine. He died 1814, aged 84.
NATHAN HAYWARD,
Was son of Luther, and grandson of Elijah Hayward, of West Bridgewater, who was a descendant of Thomas Hayward, one of the first settlers in the town. He m. a Cary, and is a Lieutenant in the Troop.
JOSEPH HAYWARD,
Was son of Benjamin Hayward, a descendant of Thomas Hayward, beforementioned. He m. a Manly; had two ss. Asaph and Manly; and six ds. Hannah, Olive, Sally, Rebecca, Sylvia, and Mary. Hannah m. Jacob Dunbar; Olive m. Howard Marshal. Sally m. Capt. Robert Packard; Rebecca m. Jonas Reynolds; Sylvia m. Solomon Stone; Mary m. Gannett Marshal; Asaph m. a Drakelives in Waybridge, Vermont; Manly m. a Monk.
DANIEL HOWARD,
Was son of Ephraim, and grandson of John Howard, one of the first settlers in Bridgewater. He m. a Williams, and was one of the first settlers in the North Parish, was the first Captain and
