Zipheon Howard; Vesta m. Isaac Clapp; Ichabod m. a Brett—lives in Minot, Maine; Joseph 2d m. a Dunbar; Simeon m. a Snell; Thomas 3d m. a Pike.

   2.   Thomas 2d m. a Thayer; lives in State of Maine.

   3.   Josiah m. a Phillips; lives in Chester, Vermont.

Was son of Benjamin Shaw, of Abington.   He m. a West; had four ss. William, Dan, Napthtali, and Micah; and four ds. Hannah, Rhoda, Betsey, and Patience.   He afterwards m. a Smith; had one d. Nabby.   Hannah m. Mark Packard; Rhoda m. Benjamin Kingman; Betsey m. Isaac Horton; Patience m. Captain Nathaniel Southworth; Nabby m. Ziba Wood.

   William Shaw died 1809, aged 79.

   1.   William 2d m. a Washburn; had a number of children.

   2.   Dan m. a Perkins; settled at Lime, N. H.

   3.   Napthali graduated at Dartmouth College in 1790.   Settled in the ministry at Kensington, N. H.   He m. Polly Crafts.

   4.   Micah m. a Kingman; had four ss. Newton, Addison, Marcus, and Zibeon; and four ds. Caroline, Mary, Hannah, and Rhoda.   Mary m. Abiel Kingman; Newton m. a Packard.

Was son of Israel Sylvester, of Duxbury, who m. Abigail, daughter of Josiah Snell, of Bridgewater.   He m. Lucy, daughter of Ephraim Sampson, of Middleborough.   They moved into the North Parish in 1769.   He had five ss. Seth, Joseph, Benjamin, Josiah, and Ephraim; and one d. Lucy.

   Seth and Benjamin are dead.

   Joseph m. a Howard; is a Justice of Peace; had two ss. Gustavus and Algernon; and four ds. Abigail, Hannah, Clynthee, and Wealthy.   Abigail and Wealthy died in youth.   Gustavus m. a Field.

   Josiah lives at Tiverton, R. I.

   Joseph Sylvester died 1808, aged 84.
