JOHN SMITH,

Was son of John Smith, of East Bridgewater, the son of John Smith of Randolph.   He m. an Edson; had two ss. Albert, and Harrison; and two ds. Salome, and Rachel.

ZECHARIAH SNELL,

   Was son of Josiah, and grandson of Thomas Snell, an early settler in Bridgewater.   He was one of the first settlers in the North Parish; m. a Howard; was a Deacon in the church; had three ss. Issachar, Zebedee, and Ebenezer; and one d. Abigail, who m. Robert Howard.

   Deacon Zechariah Snell died in 1768, aged 64.

   1.   Issachar m. a Hayward; was a Justice of the Peace, and one of the Selectmen several years; had one s. Issachar; and four ds. Mehitable, Abigail, Sarah, and Hannah.   Mehitable died in youth; Abigail m. Caleb Howard, Esq.; Sarah m. Turner Torrey; Hannah m. Oakes Tyrrel.

   Issachar Snell, Esq. died in 1820, aged 88.

   Issacher Snell, jr. graduated at Cambridge in 1797; m. a Keith, settled at Winthrop, Maine, and is distinguished as a Physician and Surgeon.

   2.   Zebedee m. a Howard; was a Captain in the militia; had two ss. Zechariah, and Oliver; and three ds. Hannah, Martha, and Molly.   He afterwards m. a Hayward; had one s. Zebedee; and three ds. Abigail, Lavina, and Mary.   Hannah m. Daniel Field; Martha m. William Reynolds; Molly m. Dr. Tillson; Lavinia m. Zibeon Brett; Mary m. Simeon Reynolds; Zechariah m. a Sylvester; Oliver m. a Beals; Zebedee 2d m. an Ames.

   3.   Ebenezer m. a Packard; settled at Cummington; was a Justice of the Peace, and Deacon there; was the Father of the Rev. Thomas Snell, of North Brookfield.

CHARLES SNELL,

Was son of Josiah, son of Thomas Snell beforementioned.   He m. a Packard, had three ss. Charles, Nathaniel, and Shepherd, and four ds. Silence, Susanna, Hannah, and Abigail.   Silence m. Ebenezer Howard; Susanna m. Abiel Harris; Hannah m. Jonathan Keith; Abigail m. Capt. Levitt Thayer.

   Charles Snell died in 1771, aged 54.
