This outcropping of rock is the traditional site of the execution of the Bridgewater Deed.
Sachem's Rock is an outcropping of stone behind a farmhouse in East Bridgewater. It is the site where, it is said, Ousamequen (Massasoit) sold the land that became Old Bridgewater to Myles Standish, Samuel Nash and Constant Southworth.
Sachem Rock Farm is now an East Bridgewater town park and open to the public. The town is developing the park at 355 Plymouth St. (Rte. 106), just south of the Satucket River, for its educational possibilities and as a possible museum site.
