Nov. 26, 1789, and d. 2 May, 1862, æt. 72 yrs.   He d. 14 Feb. 1867, æt. 86 yrs.   "Mariner."   Resided on South St., West Hing.   Alexander was in the privateer brig "Ida," commanded by Capt. Joseph Pierce of Hing., at the time that vessel was captured by a British cruiser, and was taken to Dartmoor prison where, with Capt. Pierce and others he was confined as a prisoner.
