   2.   RICHARD2 (John1), b. at Boston, Jan. 2, 169495, was induced prob. to make Hing. his place of residence partly through the influence of two prominent members of the Cushing fam., Daniel and Stephen, with whom he held intimate business connections, but principally, perh., by his matrimonial alliance.   He m. in Hing. May 14, 1719, Abigail Cushing, dau. of Daniel and Elizabeth (Thaxter) Cushing.   She was b. in Hing. Jan. 1, 16991700, and surviving him, m. secondly, May 10, 1739, William Stetson.   Concerning Richard's death, Rev. Nehemiah Hobart of the sec. pre. made the foll. rec.:   "1736, Dec. 4.   Mr. Richard Kilby died at Boston a few days after his arrival from Jamaica, æt. 39 yrs."   "Master-mariner."   Resided in the sec. pre.
