   i.   MARY, 1742.   m. Dec. 2, 1762, Hezekiah Hudson, and d. 5 Dec. 1763.   He afts. m. Mary Woodward, and had a s., Scarlet, who lately deceased in Hing. (p. 357).
   ii.   REBECCA, 1744.   m. Nov. 27, 1766, Matthew Lincoln, widr., of Hing.   The late Major Jedediah Lincoln of Hing. was their s.   See descendants of Stephen Lincoln (12).

   17.   ENOCH4 (Jedediah3 Samuel2-1), b. in Hing. Jan. 22, 1720-21.   m. first, Dec. 30, 1745, Rachel Fearing, dau. of Nathaniel and Sarah (Johnson) Fearing.   She was b. in Hing. 1721 (bt. June 1, 1729), and d. 16 May, 1782 æt. 61 yrs.   He m. secondly, May 6, 1784, Mrs. Lydia (Hobart) Ripley, wid. of Nehemiah Ripley, and dau. of Rev. Nehemiah and Lydia (Jacob) Hobart.   She was b. in Hing. Feb. 9, 1732-33, and d. 26 Dec. 1803, æt. 71st yr.   Enoch d. June, 1802, æt. 81 yrs.   "Glazier."   Selectman 1754, 1755, 1756, and 1781.   Representative 1775, 1776, 1777, and 1778.   Resided on Lincoln St.
   Ch., all b. in Hing. by w. Rachael, were —

   i.   BETHIA, Sept. 28, 1746.   m. Apr. 2, 1767, Jonathan Thaxter.
   ii.   ENOCH, Jan. 9, 1747-48, d. unm. 10 March, 1822, æt. 74yrs.
   iii.   LEVI, May 15, 1749; grad. at Har. Coll. 1772; admitted to the bar, 1775, and settled at Worcester, Mass.   Judge of probate 1776; county prosecuter, rep. Mass., 1796, 1797; rep. in Congress 1799-1801; attorney-genl. of U. S. 1801-5; councillor 1806; Lieut.-Gov. 1807-8, and acting Gov. 1809.   He m. Martha, dau. of Daniel Waldo, Esq.   She d. 1828, æt. 66 yrs.   He d. 1820, æt. 71st yr.   They had 10 ch.   Levi, the oldest, was Gov. of Mass. 1825-1834, and Enoch, the fourth s., was Gov. of Maine.
   iv.   RACHEL, May 27, 1751.   m. Oct. 9, 1775, Jacob Thaxter.
   v.   AMOS, March 18, 1753.   Was three times m., and the fa. of 17 ch.   Was a member of the "Boston Tea Party," and captain of artillery in the War of the Revolution.   Resided at Boston for many yrs.; but late in life removed to Quincy, Mass.
   vi.   SARAH, Oct. 29, 1754.   m. Aug. 25, 1778, Daniel Cushing.
35. vii.   EZRA, Nov. 26, 1756.
   viii.   LEAH, Dec. 3, 1758.   m. May 5, 1779, Hawkes Fearing.
   ix.   JEDEDIAH, Nov. 1, 1760.   m. (1) —— Edwards, and (2) Mary, dau. of Paul Revere.   Had 13 ch.   He d. at Boston, after which his wid. came to Hing., and d. here 12 Aug. 1853, æt. 83 yrs.
   x.   ABRAHAM, Sept. 5, 1762.   Removed to Worcester, Mass.   Was representative for many yrs., and a member of the Executive Council at the time of his death in 1824.
   xi.   MERCY, Feb. 5, 1764.

   18.   WILLIAM4 (Jedediah3 Samuel2-1), b. in Hing. Aug. 5, 1729.   m. Mary Otis, dau. of Dr. Ephraim and Rachel (Hersey) Otis of Scit.   She d. in Hing. 12 Sept. 1773, æt. 37th yr.   He d. 17 Nov. 1792, æt. 63 yrs.   In his will, dated 4 Nov. 1792, provides for his three sons then living, and gives "to Lucy Lewis for her long and faithful services in my family," etc., a comfortable maintenance "as long as she remains unmarried."   "Farmer."   Constable 1768.   Resided on Lincoln St.
   Ch., all b. in Hing., were —

   i.   WILLIAM, July 1, 1761.   m. Jan. 3, 1787, Jael, dau. of Joseph and Sarah (Leavitt) Cushing.   They removed to Dedham, Mass., and thence to Marlboro', N. H.   She d. at Ashby, 30 Oct. 1840, æt. 76 yrs.   Dea. Leavitt Lincoln, s. of William and Jael, d. at New Ipswich, N. H., 16 Dec. 1887, æt. 91st yr.
