1837, Mehitable Lincoln, dau. of Welcome and Susanna (Gill) Lincoln (p. 455).   She was b. in Hing. Dec. 1, 1808, and d. 21 Sept. 1873, æt. 65th yr.   He d. 1 Dec. 1881, æt. 78th yr.   "Attorney at law;" representative to the Gen'l Court 1829 and 1841; senator, 1830-31; U. S. Marshall, 1841-44; master in chancery, 1842-43; appointed bank commissioner, 1849; was cashier of the Webster Bank, in Boston, 1853 to 1869, and its president from 1869 to 1876; member of the Mass. Historical Society, of the New Eng. Historic, Genealogical Society; president of the Hingham Cemetery Corporation, of the Hingham Agricultural and Horticultural Society, and author of the "History of Hingham," 1827.   Resided on Main, near Water St.

   i.   SOLOMON, Aug. 14, 1838, grad. at Har. Coll. 1857.   m. Feb. 15, 1865, Ellen B., dau. of Lieut-Gov. Joel Hayden, of Haydenville, Mass.   "Attorney at law."   Resides at Boston.   Their dau. Bessie, was b. at Salem, June 28, 1868.
   ii.   ARTHUR, Feb. 16, 1842, grad. at Har. Coll. 1863.   m. Dec. 17, 1883, Serafina, dau. of Joseph G. Loring.   "Attorney at law."   Representative 1879 and 1880.   Their dau. Serafina, was b. at Boston, Sept. 2, 1884.
   iii.   FRANCIS HENRY, Apr. 14, 1846, grad. at Har. Coll. 1867.   m. June 1, 1875, Anna F. Baker, dau. of Abner L. and Lydia (Ripley) Baker.   "Real estate broker."   Resides on Main St.   Their son, Francis Henry, was b. in Hing. Dec. 2, 1876.

   46.   WILLIAM O.7 (William O.6 Solomon5 William4 Jedediah3 Samuel2-1), b. in Hing. Apr. 20, 1838.   m. at Albany, N. Y., Aug. 1870, Mary R., dau. of John Rogers Hoar, of Pawtucket, R. I.   "Salesman" at Boston.   Resides on South St., near Thaxter's Bridge.   (See "Hingham in the Civil War.")
