Dec. 12, 1683, and d. 30 Apr. 1780, æt. 96 yrs.   He d. 9 July, 1755, æt. 80th yr.   Resided on the paternal homestead.   Feb. 15, 1725-26, James Macvarlo's house was destroyed by fire.   Subsequently a new house was erected on the same spot.

   JOHN, from Cork County, Ire., and b. 1826, came and settled in Hing. 1851.   He m. at Quincy, Mass., Nov. 4, 1855, Bridget Hanley.   She was b. in County Tipperary, Ire., 1834.   "Farm laborer."   Resides on Green St.

MAGOON (MAGOUN; MCGOUN).

   1.   JOHN, a Scotchman, was an early resident of Hing.   The chris. name of his w., whom he m. Nov. 7, 1662, was Rebecca.   John removed with his fam. ab. 1666, to Scit., where he was a freeholder.   In 1673 he was one of those who received a portion of the common land.   In his will of 20 May, 1697, proved 27 June, 1712, names w. Rebecca, four sons and one dau.   His.
