   1.   JOSEPH4 (Joseph3-2 James1, an early resident of Wey.), was b. prob. at Scit. 1701.   m. first, 1730, Deborah Merritt, and secondly, in Hing. Feb. 22, 1753, Mrs. Lydia (Hobart) Lane, wid. of Josiah Lane, and dau. of David and Sarah (Joice) Hobart.   She was b. in Hing. Jan. 9, 1703-4.   Hing. rec's furnish nothing additional relating to this fam.

   2.   REUBEN THAXTER7 (Charles6 = Lucy Porter, Elisha5 = Abigail White, Joseph4-3-2 James1), b. at Wey. March 8, 1805.   m. in Hing. Dec. 9, 1827, Mary Hersey, dau. of Peter and Mary (Dunbar) Hersey.   She was b. in Hing. Jan. 24, 1806, and d. 9 Apr. 1882, æt. 76 yrs.   He d. 21 Oct. 1843, æt. 39th yr.   "Mariner."   Resided on Hersey St.
