   JONATHAN, from Boston, m. Hing. sec. pre. Dec. 8, 1741, Abigail, dau. of Aaron and Sarah Pratt.   She was b. in Hing. Aug. 4, 1708.   "Farmer."   Resided on Beechwood St.

   ii.   SARAH, Jan. 12, 1743-44.   m. Dec. 5, 1765, Thomas Pratt.

   v.   JOSEPH, Dec. 12, 1752.   m. Apr. 16, 1775, Mary, dau. of Thomas Gill.   She was b. in Hing. Nov. 1, 1754.


   1.   JOHN, by occupation "mariner," was in active service during the Mexican War, in the U. S. Navy.   His w. was Sarah Hazelton.   She d. 4 Aug. 1871, æt. 78 yrs.   He d. 12 Oct. 1850, æt. 56 yrs.   A monument erected to their memory stands in the Hing. cemetery, where both hus. and w. are buried.

Sharp, dau. of Edward and Ellen (Swaney) Sharp.   She d. 26 Dec. 1856, æt. 20 yrs.   He m. secondly, Nov. 19, 1857, Hannah E. W. Sharp, his first w.'s sister.   She was b. at New Portland, Me., 1840.   John S. d. at Salisbury Prison, N. C., 16 Jan. 1865, æt. 33 yrs.   Resided in Hing., on Free St.   (See "Hingham in the Civil War.")

   CHARLES A., s. of James and Ann J. Neal, and a native of Boston, m. Harriet W. Dunbar, dau. of Laban and Lucy (Loud) Dunbar.   She was b. June 13, 1842.   Charles A. d. in Hing. 25 Feb. 1883, æt. 60th yr.   Resided on Main St., near "Pear Tree Hill."   They had two sons.

   1.   WILLIAM, a native of Ire., m. in Hing. Sept. 23, 1828, Mary R. French, dau. of George and Anna (Rice) French.   She was b. in Hing.
