   This surname has been perpetuated here in localities known as "Page's Bridge," and "Page's Meadows;" but I have not ascertained definitely what the chris. name of the fa. of the ch. of this surname b. here was.   There are good reasons, however, for believing it was John, who was afts. of Haverhill.   The mother, undoubtedly, was Mary, dau. of George Marsh, one of the early settlers of Hing.   She was b. in Eng.   Their

   i.   JOHN, July 11, 1641; prob. settled at Haverhill.
   ii.   ONESEPHOROUS, Nov. 20, 1642.   Settled at Salisbury.
   iii.   BENJAMIN, July 14, 1644.   Settled at Haverhill.

   v.   JOSEPH, March 5, 1647-48; afts. of Haverhill.
   vi.   CORNELIUS, July 15, 1649.   Settled at Haverhill.

   JOHN, b. in Eng. ab. 1600, was by occupation "mariner," and prob. came to Hing. with the first settlers.   He had a house-lot on Broad Cove (Lincoln) St., granted him in 1635, containing four acres.   This lot was bounded west by Mr. Richard Ibrook, and east by Thomas Chubbuck.   Freeman 1638.   He removed with his fam. to Scit., before 1657, where, at the date mentioned, he was a freeman of Ply. Colony.

   ii.   ELNATHAN, ——, d. without issue.
   iii.   SAMUEL, bt. in Hing. Feb. 1640-41.
   iv.   JOSIAH, bt. in Hing. June 7, 1643.   m. and had sons Josiah, 1685; Joshua, 1687.
   v.   ELIZABETH, ——, d. in Hing. 6 July, 1647.
   vi.   HANNAH, bt. in Hing. May, 1647.

   BENJAMIN SANBORN (Joseph = Anna D. Sanborn), b. at Sanbornton, N. H., Apr. 5, 1792.   m. in Hing. July 30, 1820, Sarah Burrell, dau. of Leavitt and Sarah (Curtis) Burrell.   She was b. in Hing. Apr. 13, 1797.   Benjamin S. d. 18 May, 1874, æt. 82 yrs.   "Cooper."   Resided on North St., near the harbor.
   Ch., all b. in Hing., —

   i.   JOSEPH, Jan. 8, 1821; went to Cal. in 1849, and is supposed to be dead.
   ii.   BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, Apr. 1, 1823.   m. Nov. 15, 1846, Abigail, dau. of John Hobart, and resides at Boston.
