   1.   CALEB, became a resident of Hing. soon after 1800.   He was from Scit., but had previously lived in Boston.   His w. was the wid. Abigail (Pease) Hatch.   She d. at Boston 5 Jan. 1835, æt. 70 yrs.   He d. in Virginia, at the residence of his s. Thomas, 26 Nov. 1826, æt. 61 yrs.   While in Hing. he resided on North St., near the harbor.

   iii.   CHARLES MORTON, b. at Scit., m. Susan Jackson of Boston.   She d. in Hing. 9 Sept. 1868, æt. 78 yrs.   He d. 8 Dec. 1871, æt. 70 yrs.   No issue.
   iv.   ABIGAIL, b. at Scit.; m. Stephen Mortimer.   They removed to Cincinnati, Ohio.

   2.   CALEB (Caleb = Abigail Pease), b. at Boston, Oct. 1792.   m. in Hing. July 30, 1817, Betsey L. Burrell, dau. of Leavitt and Sarah (Curtis) Burrell.   She was b. in Hing. Sept. 28, 1793, and d. 24 March, 1868, æt. 74 yrs.   He d.19 March, 1859. æt. 66 yrs.   "Barrel-cooper."   Resided on North St., near the harbor.

   i.   ELIZABETH, Feb. 4, 1818.   m. Apr. 3, 1842, Cushing Barnes, widr, and d. at Boston, 6 Feb. 1855, æt. 37 yrs.

   iii.   GEORGE PEIRCE, Dec. 22, 1822.   m. (1) Lucinda N. Orcutt.   Resides in Boston.

   3.   CALEB (Caleb = Betsey L. Burrell), b. in Hing. March 19, 1825.   m. first, May 21, 1849, Elizabeth C. Nye, dau. of Henry and Caroline M. (Stockwell) Nye of Boston.   She was b. at Boston, Nov. 23, 1828, and d. in Hing. 23 July, 1863, æt. 35th yr.   He m. secondly, Sept. 28, 1865, Mrs. Mary A. (Stodder) Jacob, dau. of Martin B. and Margaret (Hurley) Stodder.   She was b. in Hing. Aug. 5, 1840, and d. 6 June, 1887, æt. 47th yr.   Resides on Bank Avenue, off North St.   Caleb d. 10 Apr. 1889, æt. 64 yrs. (3:366)

   JOHN, from Wey., was a soldier on Conn. River in Philip's War, 1676.   He afts. came to Hing. and m. here, Aug. 26, 1677, Mrs. Hannah (Burr) Hobart, wid. of John Hobart, and dau. of Simon and Hester Burr.   She was bt. in Hing. Feb. 25, 1654-55, and d. 12 Oct. 1683, æt. 29th yr.   He prob. returned to Wey. after the death of his w., and may have had issue by a later m'ge.   Resided while in Hing. on North St.
   Ch., b. in Hing., were —

   i.   JOHN, Apr. 30, 1678.
   ii.   SIMON, Apr. 2, or 9, 1680.
