   1.   JOSIAH (George = Mary Converse), b. at Woburn, Mass., Aug. 10, 1780.   m. Dec. 20, 1807, Elizabeth Blake, dau. of Jonathan and Esther (Force) Blake.   She was b. at Boston Jan. 30, 1778, and d. in Hing. 29 Aug. 1868, æt. 91st yr.   He d. in Hing. 10 May, 1863, æt. 83d yr.   "Trunk-maker."   Resided on Main St., near the old meeting house.   Mary, his mother, d. in Hing. 30 Jan. 1833, æt. 84 yrs.

   ii.   GEORGE EDWARD, b. at Boston, Dec. 5, 1810.   m. in June 19, 1844, Lucy S., dau. of Nehemiah and Eunice (Stodder) Lincoln (p. 10).   George E. d. 14 March, 1850, æt. 39 yrs.   Lucy S., wid. of George E., d. 16 Feb. 1889, æt. 75th yr. (3:367)   No issue.
   iii.   CHARLES, b. at Boston, May 22, 1813.   "Merchant," and "Southern packet agent" at Boston.   In 1857 was postmaster in Hing.   Resides on Main St., near the old meeting-house.

   v.   JOSIAH BLAKE, July 2, 1820.   m. Sept. 29, 1842, Isabella, dau. of Moses L. and Sarah (Lincoln) Humphrey.   Resides at Boston.

   2.   JOHN (Josiah = Elizabeth Blake), b. at Boston, Oct. 18, 1808.   m. in Hing. Jan. 8, 1834, Ann Maria Todd, dau. of John and Chloe (Sprague) Todd.   She was b. in Hing. Dec. 1, 1808.   "Silk cord maker."   Resides on the paternal homestead, Main St.

   3.   HENRY (Josiah = Elizabeth Blake), b. at Boston, June 30, 1816.   m. first, Nov. 3, 1842, Sarah Studley, dau. of Benjamin and Lydia (Barrell) Studley.   She was b. in Hing. Oct. 18, 1820, and d. 3 Apr. 1859, æt. 38 yrs.   He m. secondly, Feb. 22, 1860, Lydia A. Chittenden, dau. of Israel and Lydia (Studley) Chittenden.   She was b. in Hing. May 24, 1829.   "Clerk."   Selectman and Overseer of the Poor 1869, 1870, 1874, 1875, 1876, 1877, and 1878; a member of the school committee nine yrs.; librarian of the public library from its opening, until Dec. 31, 1874; also postmaster at Hing. Centre from July, 1869, to Dec. 31, 1874.   Resides on Main St., near the old meeting-house.

   ii.   HENRY FRANCIS, Sept. 29, 1846.   m. Dec. 11, 1873, Ellen L. Burr, dau. of Robert and Emma (Sprague) Burr (II. 107).   Their dau. Gertrude Whitney, was b. in Hing. Oct. 7, 1877.
   iii.   SARAH DAVIS, Nov. 17, 1850.   m. Dec. 12, 1871, Edward R. Blanchard of Wey.
