   ASA CUSHING (Asa C. = Charlotte Mann), b. at Coh. May 4, 1811.   m. first, at Coh., June 30, 1834, Eliza Stoddard of Scit.   She d. 15 Apr. 1835, æt. 23 yrs.   He m. secondly, Apr. 23, 1837, Sally W. Lambert, dau. of Isaac and Mary P. (Barrell) Lambert.   She was b. at Coh. Feb. 6, 1822.   Asa C. d. in Hing. 31 Dec. 1883, æt. 73d yr.   "Gardener."   Resided on Spring St.

Hing. 24 July, 1851, æt. 90 yrs.   Susanna was a dau. of Benjamin and Hannah (Garnet) Dunbar (II. p. 200 : 17), and bt. by Rev. Daniel Shute, Oct. 1761.   She was the wid. of Joshua Tower, a sea-faring man, who does not appear to have been connected with the families bearing this surname in Hing. and vic.   It is said that he was a British subject, and a deserter.
