   HENRY had a planting-lot granted him at Broad Cove, 1635, and a house-lot on Bachelor (Main) St., in 1637.   According to Cushing's MS., "Henry Tuttil and his wife and Isaac Wright came out of Norfolk and settled in New Hingham 1637."   Our early rec's furnish nothing further relating to this surname except the bt. of the foll.

Centre, "over the river."   But little is kn. concerning him or his fam.   In 1659 he was witness to a conveyance from Thomas Brattle et ux. et al. to Thomas Hammond et al. of a farm at Muddy River in Boston.   Mary, perh. dau. of Thomas, was bt. in Hing. Apr. 13, 1645.   The name of Joseph Underwood also appears among the arrivals in Hing. 1637.   John, of Quincy, m. Apr. 19, 1831, Chloe H., dau. of Ellis Shumway.   She d. at Taunton, Mass., 10 Jan. 1871, æt. 63 yrs.
