This is a work in progress, begun by the late CJ McNew, carried on by the current webmaster and supported by the greatly appreciated efforts of many volunteers. The pages here are a mixture of images, CJ's original text transcribed by volunteers, and reformatted pages, some of which are a reworking of CJ's text and some of which are new.

I have added some notes [in red and in square brackets] to the reformatted pages to acknowledge volunteer transcribers and to correct typographical errors. Links between at the bottom of reformatted pages have also been added to aid navigation.

I would like to thank all of the volunteer transcribers who have made this project possible. Special thanks to Lisa Whiting, who edited the Military section and much of Volume I, Part 2, and transcribed most of the "S" through "Y" families and the entire supplement.
