92 Records from the Cemetery at Marshfield Hills

   IN October and November, 1906, the writer made copies of all inscriptions dated prior to 1851, with a few of later date, on the gravestones in the Cemetery at Marshfield Hills, Mass.   With the assistance of Messrs. Stanley W. Smith and Edward H. Whorf these copies were verified in March, 1907, and have been presented to the Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants.   All the genealogical facts to be found in these copies are given in the following abstracts.

Anthony, died 17 September, 1729, in his 73d year.
Bethiah, daughter of Jedediah and Bethiah, died 9 December, 1792, aged 24 years, 6 months, 3 days.
Bethiah, widow of Jedediah, died 9 September, 1811, aged 85 years.
Frederick, eldest son of William J. and Elizabeth.   [No date.]
Jedediah, died 7 October, 1793, aged 63 years, 5 months, 10 days.
Jedediah, born 12 June, 1761; died 5 June, 1834.
John T., born 15 June, 1764; died 19 February, 1847.
———, son of John Tilden and Sarah, died 25 January, 1793, aged 12 days.
Josiah, died 26 February, 1737/8, aged 56 years.
Millicent, Mrs., died 14 August, 1735, aged 70 years.
Rhoda C., wife of Edward, died 1 April, 1839, aged 29 years.
Ruth, wife of Capt. Lemuel, died 30 January, 1784, in her 57th year.
Sarah Rogers, wife of John T., born 29 July, 1771; died 1 January, 1846.
Susanna, daughter of Jedediah and Bethia, died 22 September, 1814, aged 61 years, 17 days.
Sybil, wife of Jedediah, died 7 May, 1833, aged 70 years, 9 months.

Julia H., daughter of William and Sylvia, died 27 September, 1841, aged 1 year, 5 months.

Emily J., Miss, died 28 September, 1846, aged 26 years.   "Sister gone from earth forever."

Francis, Rev., died 14 April, 1739, in his 29th year.
