GRAVESTONE RECORDS FROM THE LORING
CEMETERY, EAST PEMBROKE, MASS.

IN September, 1907, the writer, with the assistance of Mr. Stanley W. Smith, copied and verified all inscriptions, dated prior to 1851, in the Loring Cemetery, East Pembroke, Mass. The copies were presented to the Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants, and the genealogical data in the inscriptions will be found in the following abstracts.
James Monroe, son of Monroe and Grace L., died 13 July, 1849, aged 8 months, 8 days.
Lavina Jane, daughter of Monroe and Grace L., died 25 June, 1849, aged 2 years, 10 months, 13 days.
Barker, son of Elisha and Eliza, died 6 September, 1848, aged 17 months.
Gracey, wife of Horace, died 28 September, 1835, in her 39th year. "Adieu dear husband . . . . O love my children for my sake."
Ichabod, died 15 August 1852, aged 67 years. [On stone with wife Tirzy.]
Rebecca, died in February, 1841, aged 81.
Tirzy, wife of Ichabod, died 14 May, 1839, aged 53 years. [On her husband's stone.]
