Gravestone Records in the Old Cemetery at Plympton, Mass.
Transcribed by John W. Willard, et. al.
and
Published in The Mayflower Descendant
Introduction
Among the many series of gravestone transcriptions published in The Mayflower Descendant is this series, published in Volumes 8 [1906], 9 [1907], 10 [1908] and 11 [1909]. The transcriptions, made in 1906, include all burials prior to 1851, with a few of later date. Time has taken its toll on some of these stones, and some epitaphs are no longer legible. This record of the inscriptions as they existed in 1906 is therefore a valuable resource for Plympton researchers. Note that these are not literal transcriptions - they are abstracts of the information found on the gravestones. In a few cases a portion of a stone has been literally transcribed, and is so designated by enclosing it within quotation marks.
I have tried to render a faithful reproduction of the Mayflower Descendant pages in HTML form, following the original format in the use of italics, superscript (ye) and double dating (170½). Portions of another article on a page have been omitted and the fact noted [in square brackets and in red], and the volume and page numbers have been added to the top of each page in the same format.
Pages included:
Volume 8 [1906]: 150, 151, 152, 153, 154
Volume 9 [1907]: 117, 118, 119, 214, 215, 216, 217
Volume 10 [1908]: 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 144, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149, 217, 218, 219, 220, 221
Volume 11 [1909]: 115, 116, 117, 118, 119, 161, 162, 163, 164, 165, 194, 195, 196, 197, 198

Please note that although I was born and raised about 15 miles from Plympton I now live hundreds of miles away and do not have easy access to the town.
