Plympton Queries
A queries page is not a shortcut for research. It is intended to aid those who have already exhausted easily available sources of information and are looking for information from new, obscure or hard-to-find sources. If you submit a query the webmaster may reject it if he decides that you should first pursue other avenues of research.
This queries page is intended only for genealogical research. Please ask specific genealogical questions about specific individuals. General inquiries about families, or inquiries such as searches for living relatives, are not appropriate and will not be posted.
This page is reserved for queries about people who lived in Plympton. If you do not know the Plymouth County town of residence for a person you should post your query on the Plymouth County Queries Page or in the Plymouth Colony Forums.
I've prepared a submission form for queries. Please submit a seperate query for each surname and feel free to post as many Plympton queries as you wish.
PLEASE NOTE that email addresses on this page other than my own are displayed as graphics, not as links. I understand that this is inconvenient for some visitors, especially those who are visually impaired. I believe that it is necessary in order to reduce spam and protect the privacy of those posting queries. If you have any difficulty reading an email graphic you can click on it to view a magnified version. If you prefer you can send me email with the name of the person who placed the query and I will send you their email address.

CUSHMAN
August 27, 2007; Kathy Fenton
![]()
John CUSHMAN married Joanna PRATT 19-Jan-1715 in Plympton. Both are Mayflower descendants. John was living in Plympton in May-1760, and Joanna as late as Nov-1747. Is there any death or cemetery record, probate or deeds for either?
Who were their children? Mayflower Families Through Five Generations Volume 17 (Allerton) suggests four: Eleazer, Charles (of Bridgewater and later Rutland, VT), John (of Plympton and Middleborough), and (possibly) James (of Woodstock, CT and Lebanon, CT). James CUSHMAN, who married at Lebanon 08-May-1745 to Levina DOWNER, is my husband's ancestor. But was he a son of John and Joanna (PRATT) CUSHMAN?

HALEY
February 7, 2004; Wendy (Wood) Hawksley
![]()
I am seeking info on the HALEY family which descends from Edward Marshall HALEY (b. 1810 in Dublin, Ireland). He settled in Plympton and married Clarissa B. BARRETT of Plymouth. Most of the descendants stayed in the Plymouth County area, and a few lines came to Brockton. I have lots of info - too much to post here. Looking to meet other descendants.

Please note that although I was born and raised about 15 miles from Plympton I now live hundreds of miles away and do not have easy access to the town.
