Rehoboth Queries

A queries page is not a shortcut for research. It is intended to aid those who have already exhausted easily available sources of information and are looking for information from new, obscure or hard-to-find sources. If you submit a query the webmaster may reject it if he decides that you should first pursue other avenues of research.

This queries page is intended only for genealogical research. Please ask specific genealogical questions about specific individuals. General inquiries about families, or inquiries such as searches for living relatives, are not appropriate and will not be posted. Inquiries about twentieth-century individuals may not be accepted because they are too recent - readers are not likely to know about your twentieth-century ancestors.

This page is reserved for queries about people who lived in Rehoboth. If you do not know the Bristol County town of residence for a person you should post your query in the Plymouth Colony Forums.

I've prepared a submission form for queries. Please submit a seperate query for each surname and feel free to post as many Rehoboth queries as you wish.

PLEASE NOTE that email addresses on this page other than my own are displayed as graphics, not as links. I understand that this is inconvenient for some visitors, especially those who are visually impaired. I believe that it is necessary in order to reduce spam and protect the privacy of those posting queries. If you have any difficulty reading an email graphic you can click on it to view a magnified version. If you prefer you can send me email with the name of the person who placed the query and I will send you their email address.

I am seeking information regarding the parents of Sarah KINGSLEY. According to the VRs of Rehoboth, v. 3, p. 352, "Sarah KINGSLEY of Rehoboth and Rufus CHASE of Bristol were married by Aaron KINGSLEY, Esq., April 22, 1770". According to the NEHGS Register, v. 87, p. 257, Sarah KINGSLEY died 11-Dec-1813, and the couple had the following children: Cynthia (born at Swansea 23-Oct-1771), Benjamin (born at Warren, 10-Jun-1774), Russell (born at Warren, 27-Jun-1777), Britannia (born at Guilford, VT, 20-May-1780), Sally (born at Guilford, 09-Feb-1789), and Electa (born at Guilford, 14-Jul-1792). Information regarding the parents of Sarah KINGSLEY, her date and place of birth, and the place of her death would be greatly appreciated. She was my 4th-great grandmother.
