Scituate Queries

A queries page is not a shortcut for research. It is intended to aid those who have already exhausted easily available sources of information and are looking for information from new, obscure or hard-to-find sources. If you submit a query the webmaster may reject it if he decides that you should first pursue other avenues of research.

This queries page is intended only for genealogical research. Please ask specific genealogical questions about specific individuals. General inquiries about families, or inquiries such as searches for living relatives, are not appropriate and will not be posted.

This page is reserved for queries about people who lived in Scituate. If you do not know the Plymouth County town of residence for a person you should post your query on the Plymouth County Queries Page or in the Plymouth Colony Forums.

I've prepared a submission form for queries. Please submit a seperate query for each surname and feel free to post as many Scituate queries as you wish.

I am looking for information on Rachel CURTIS, born 06-Jun-1717, daughter of William CURTIS and Rachel STODDER. She married Nehemiah WHITE in Scituate 25-Apr-1737. I would like to know where they went and what children they had.

BEAL / BARKER

Am especially interested in John Williams BEAL, born 1821 in South Scituate, and Lucy Sylvester BARKER, born 1822 in Scituate. They married and moved to Hanover at some time.

PERRY

Who was the Joseph PERRY who with wife Mercy (LEACH) had three children in Scituate: Jonathan, b. 1716; Joseph, b. 1719; and Hannah, b. 1722? Was he the son of Henry and Susannah PERRY? (I had long thought him the Joseph b. 1684 to William PERRY and Elizabeth LOBDELL, but this now seems unlikely.)
