LEACH

According to Scituate VRs, "Joseph PERRY & Mercy LEACH both of this Town were Joyned in marriage 31 May 1714, Pr Mr Nathaniell EELLS." Was this Mercy LEACH the daughter born to David and Hannah (WHITMAN) LEACH of West Bridgwater on November 22, 1693?

 

RIPLEY

Seeking any info about William RIPLEY who married Mary CORBINSON of Taunton in 1693, especially parents and birth & death dates. Was he the William RIPLEY who served in Gallup's Co. during Phips' campaign against Quebec in 1690?

 

GILLESPIE

September 5, 2003; Ann?


Seeking information about John and Farnham GILLESPIE, Irish immigrants in 1876 who owned a coal and wood yard in Brockton. Farnham and his wife Helen (———) had sons Wilfred and Nahum, and were living on Prospect St. in West Bridgewater in the census of 1900. Farnham died before the 1930 census and Nahum died Aug-1975 (SSDI).

 

TOOMEY

October 3, 2002; Marilyn Toomey


Looking for information on John TOOMEY. He lived in West Bridgewater probably from 1880 to 1917. He was married to Mary FOY TOOMEY and had children Named John Henry TOOMEY, William TOOMEY, and 2 or 3 other children. I believe his wife was buried in the Thomas Acquinas Cemetery on Center St. in Bridgewater around 1900. His date of death was given to me as 29-Jun-1917. He was born in Ireland, went to England and came to the U. S. with his wife Mary Foy and 2 children.

 

BARR

August 5, 2002; Charles Anderson


Seek further information on Sidney and Aurilla BARR, formerly of 739 No. Main Street, West Bridgewater, such as: How many children did Sidney BARR have, and what was the maiden name of his second wife, Aurilla? Sidney BARR was born in Weathersfield, VT 30-Nov-1869. He m. (1) Edna WILSON of Ludlow and (2) Aurilla (———). Edna and Sidney had a daughter Alice May and then they divorced. Sidney then m. Aurilla (———), and moved to West Bridgewater. Sidney is buried in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
