West Bridgewater Queries

A queries page is not a shortcut for research. It is intended to aid those who have already exhausted easily available sources of information and are looking for information from new, obscure or hard-to-find sources. If you submit a query the webmaster may reject it if he decides that you should first pursue other avenues of research.

This queries page is intended only for genealogical research. Please ask specific genealogical questions about specific individuals. General inquiries about families, or inquiries such as searches for living relatives, are not appropriate and will not be posted.

This page is reserved for queries about people who lived in West Bridgewater. If you do not know the Plymouth County town of residence for a person you should post your query on the Plymouth County Queries Page or in the Plymouth Colony Forums.

I've prepared a submission form for queries. Please submit a seperate query for each surname and feel free to post as many West Bridgewater queries as you wish.

PLEASE NOTE that email addresses on this page other than my own are displayed as graphics, not as links. I understand that this is inconvenient for some visitors, especially those who are visually impaired. I believe that it is necessary in order to reduce spam and protect the privacy of those posting queries. If you have any difficulty reading an email graphic you can click on it to view a magnified version. If you prefer you can send me email with the name of the person who placed the query and I will send you their email address.

HOWARD

March 5, 2005; Kerry Stevens

Looking for information on marriage of Cordelia HOWARD to Thomas Robert PEABODY 01-Sep-1849 in Cochesett Methodist Church. She was supposedly from Raynham but likely had relatives in West Bridgewater. Also, first child came four months after wedding which could explain why she had to marry in another town.

PERRY

July 1, 2004; Kendall Mellem

According to Scituate VRs, "Joseph PERRY & Mercy LEACH both of this Town were Joyned in marriage 31 May 1714, Pr Mr Nathaniell EELLS." Was this Mercy LEACH the daughter born to David and Hannah (WHITMAN) LEACH of West Bridgwater on November 22, 1693?

Please note that although I was born and raised about 10 miles from West Bridgewater I now live hundreds of miles away and do not have easy access to the town.
